HH URGES EU TO INVEST IN ZAMBIA’S KEY SECTORS

President Hakainde Hichilema has called on the European Union (EU) to explore investment opportunities in Zambia’s energy, mining, and tourism sectors, citing the country’s vast potential for growth and mutual benefit.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of EU ambassadors at State House in Lusaka today, President Hichilema emphasized that Zambia is open for business and keen to strengthen economic cooperation with the EU.

“There are immense opportunities in energy, mining, and tourism that the EU can explore, as Zambia is repositioning itself amid shifting global policies and stands ready to work closely with the European Union,” said Mr. Hichilema.

The Head of state also said that the country is committed to addressing bottlenecks that have historically slowed down investment and trade, in order to create a more conducive environment for business.
