The Zambia National Marketeers Credit Association (ZANAMACA) has described the late former President Edgar Lungu as a leader who made a significant impact on the lives of ordinary Zambians, particularly those in the informal sector.
In a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today, ZANAMACA President and Founder Mupila Kameya expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the former Head of State, praising his dedication to national development and his unwavering support for marketeers and small-scale entrepreneurs.
“During his tenure, President Lungu championed initiatives aimed at uplifting the livelihoods of Zambians, particularly in the informal sector, where countless households depend on small-scale enterprises for their sustenance,” said Mr. Kameya.
Mr. Kameya has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to President Lungu’s family, friends, and the nation, expressing hope that his memory will continue to inspire efforts toward a more inclusive and prosperous future.
He has since appealed for unity of purpose among all Zambians and called on everyone to rise above political affiliations and societal divisions, reflecting on the ideals of love, respect, and compassion that bind the country together.
