Minister of Technology and Science, Felix Mutati, has confirmed that ZamPost workers are owed three months salary arears for May, June and October 2024.
Mr. Mutati says this is because ZamPost has been struck with cash flow constraints owing to external factors of energy which slowed business and delayed payment by partners which affected revenue in flows.
He said the owed three months salary areas amounts to K14.4M.
Mr. Mutati was speaking in the National Assembly yesterday, following a question for oral answer from Nakonde Member of Parliament, Lukas Simumba, on whether government was ware that ZamPost workers are failing to meet their daily needs due to non-payment of their salaries.
Mr. Mutati however explained that government is working to stabilize the financial position of ZamPost.
