Zambia’s Rich Mineral Resources and investor-friendly policies have made the country a top attraction at the 2025 Investing in African Mining Indaba, with high-profile investors actively seeking opportunities to engage with the Zambian delegation.
Minister of Finance and National Planning, Situmbeko Musokotwane, has revealed that Zambia’s delegation has been among the busiest at the Indaba, as investors seek to understand the country’s mining sector and explore business opportunities.
“The Government has vast mining assets that have drawn interest from key industry players the delegations role is to connect investors to Zambia’s opportunities while assuring them of strong support,” said Dr. Musokotwane.
He noted that some investors already operating in Zambia are looking to expand their projects, with discussions focusing on critical minerals and diversification within the sector.
And Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Paul Kabuswe, emphasized the need for African nations to collaborate in unlocking the continent’s full potential.
He highlighted that Africa’s vast natural resources present a unique opportunity for economic transformation if countries work together towards shared development goals.
“The Mining Indaba has provided a platform for increased collaboration among African nations, aligning with President Hakainde Hichilema’s vision of enhancing intra-African trade,” said Mr. Kabuswe.
