ZAMBIANS URGED USE DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING TO RECONCILE

National Day of Prayer and Fasting Committee Vice Chairperson, Bishop Phenias Mbewe has urged Zambians to the day of prayer and fasting to reconcile with one another for a better Zambia.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual event which falls on 18th October.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Bishop Mbewe also said the day calls for all to come together in love and unity and pray for the nation regardless of their political affiliation and tribe among others.

Bishop Mbewe emphasized on letting go of frustrations, hate and jealousy, but join hands and promote hard work.

“Zambia will only develop only if we pray and work hard,” said Bishop Mbewe.

He said through prayer, Zambians can overcome the various challenges the country is facing and support government in developing the nation.

This year’s National Day of Prayer, Fasting, Repentance and Reconciliation will be held under the theme: “Building resilience, unity and hard work through prayer :Our Heritage , Our Future.”
