United Party For National Development UPND Deputy Secretary General, Getrude Imenda, says government acknowledges the need to lower the cost of living , saying it is a priority to the Zambians.
Ms. Imenda said this in Lusaka today, when she featured on Christian Voices’ Chatback program on the topic, “National Matters”.
She said that despite the government making gains on the education policy and Constituency Development Fund CDF, the cost of living remains a thorny issue to Zambians that has been worsened by drought and loadshedding.
“The state of the economy has been the major cause of the high cost of living which government is working on”, said Ms. Imenda.
She has therefore encouraged Zambians to endure the current economic challenges, saying that government is currently doing everything possible to improve the economy.
