ZAMBIA PASSES ICAO AUDIT

Minister of Transport and Logistics, FranK Tayali, is elated with high passing rate the aviation sector has scored after being audited by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) team.

The ICAO team has been in the country since 21st August 2024 and have concluded the Audit today the 2nd of September 2024.

The preliminary results conducted released puts Zambia’s achievement at 73.48 percent effective implementation translated into being above the East and Southern Africa regional average of 60.71 percent and the Global average of 69.4 percent, respectively.

Mr.  Tayali says he is delighted that this achievement has happened under his watch as he made sure that the aviation sector takes back its top-notch role of being the best in the region and beyond.

He said government places the aviation sector as key and strategic in so far as national development is concerned as it transcends into regional integration.

Mr. Tayali said the results underscore a true demonstration of the progressive reforms and diligent preparation of hard work by Zambia’s aviation sector led by the Ministry and the Civil Aviation Authority.

He said this development is a move towards enhancing the country’s desire of becoming the transport and logistics hub in the sub-region and beyond boundaries.
