ZACA CONCERNED WITH PRICES OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

Zambia Consumer Association (ZACA) Executive Secretary, Juba Sakala, has expressed concern with governments slow approach to reducing the prices of essential commodities on the market.

Mr. Sakala says government is not giving tangible solutions on reducing the cost of essential commodities  on the market that are exacerbating  the cost of living.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr, Sakala said that the cost of commodities on the market is beyond the reach of an ordinary Zambian.

“The cost of doing business is the major cause of the high prices of goods and services to which the government is not addressing,” said Mr. Sakala.

He said that many Zambians will fall beyond the poverty line if left unchecked.
