YOUTHS SHOULD BE  PRIORITIZED IN CDF UTILIZATION

Youth Alive Director, Michael Nkosi, has emphasized the need for civic leaders overseeing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to prioritize youth empowerment through skills training and bursaries.

Mr. Nkosi noted that as CDF allocations continue to increase, the number of beneficiaries should also expand to ensure equitable access to opportunities.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Nkosi expressed concern over widespread exploitation in the use of CDF, citing cases where projects are implemented at inflated costs.

“CDF has the potential to be a game changer, but gaps in its implementation require urgent attention,” said Mr. Nkosi.

He urged civic leaders to take a proactive approach in ensuring that young people receive adequate support and are meaningfully involved in CDF projects.
