WE WORKING ON THE COST OF LIVING – VEEP

“The government is addressing the high cost of living through job creation and its free education policy, among other initiatives”, Vice President Mutale Nalumango has said.

Speaking during the Vice President’s Question time in the National Assembly today, Mrs. Nalumango acknowledged the economic challenges faced by Zambians but assured that the government is focused on sustainable development to improve livelihoods.

She highlighted that over 80,000 jobs have been created across various sectors, including education, health, and mining, as part of efforts to empower citizens.

“It would be hypocritical to claim that government is not tackling the cost of living, especially when people are being empowered through various initiatives,” said Mrs. Nalumango.

She added that these policies aim to equip Zambians with resources and opportunities to improve their livelihoods and afford essential goods and services.
