Motivational Centre For Africa’s Transformation ( MOCAT ) Chief Executive officer, Gilbert Banda, has expressed concern with the lack of deliberate efforts to harvest water by government.
Mr. Banda who is also an Agriculture Expert says it is unfortunate that government continues to make pronouncements on water harvesting without practical measures, despite the country receiving decent rains.
Mr. Banda said this when he featured on Christian Voice’s Chatback program on the topic “ Agriculture sector.”
“With harvested water, government can use it both in the agriculture sector for irrigation and power generation in the energy sector,” said Mr. Banda.
He has therefore urged government to be practical with its pronouncements on water harvesting, by conducting tangible action plans that will actualize the pronouncements.
