The Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) to strengthen research, capacity building, and data-sharing in water resource management.
Through this partnership, WARMA and SASSCAL will collaborate on developing innovative solutions to enhance water security, climate resilience, and sustainable resource management.
WARMA Public Relations Officer, Smart Kalaluka, said that the agreement will align data collection and sharing strategies to prevent duplication and improve access to vital information for both Zambian and regional stakeholders.
“The MoU will also facilitate joint awareness campaigns and capacity development initiatives to promote research, knowledge exchange, and technology adoption across various sectors,” said Mr. Kalaluka in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
