United Party for National Development (UPND) National Deputy Youth Chairman, Trevor Mwiinde, has appealed to all Constituency Development Fund (CDF) committees to avoid creating unnecessary bureaucracies on the awarding of loans and grants to the young people.
Mr. Mwiinde said this in Lusaka today, when he featured on Christian Voices’ Chatback program on the topic, “Is the UPND meeting the expectations of the young people”.
He said that the party is aware of some officials that are deliberately frustrating the work of government by delaying approvals for CDF under the loans and grants component.
“The money should be quickly utilized and awarded to applicants that meet the criteria,” said Mr. Mwiinde.
He also reminded Members of Parliament to be proactive in the utilization of the said funds to benefit the communities.
