TXACC BUSINESS DELEGATION DATES ZAMBIA

A Delegation of the Texas Africa Chamber of Commerce has arrived in Zambia for a trade mission.

The delegation comprises accomplished professionals, investors representing diverse industries and organizations, all dedicated to fostering collaboration and driving sustainable development through strategic partnerships in energy, agriculture, mining, ICT, and infrastructure development.

Texas Africa Chamber of Commerce (TXACC) President, Posso Ganame, is leading the business delegation with TXACC focusing on fostering trade and investment between Texas and African nations, promoting economic development and strategic partnerships.

Deputy Chief of Mission at the Zambian Embassy in Washington- DC, Regina Phiri, explained that the visit was facilitated in conjunction with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).

Mrs. Phiri said the Texas Africa Chamber of Commerce is coming with a diversity of sectors involved, among them, energy, agriculture, mining, ICT, health and infrastructure development.

“This visit is key in promoting awareness about the attractiveness of the Zambian market not only to businesses in Texas but to other businesses throughout the USA,” said Mrs. Phiri.

She said the delegation will meet respective Ministers from technology, mines, energy, agriculture, health, commerce, trade and industry.

She revealed that some of the companies already committed to invest in Zambia effective next year and that this visit is one of the many trade visits planned for Zambia from the US market.
