Butterfly Entertainment Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Shika Liswaniso, has called on stakeholders across all sectors to prioritize the welfare of children with disabilities by upholding their rights and creating environments that allow them to thrive.
Ms. Liswaniso emphasized that inclusive support is key to promoting the mental well-being of children with disabilities and empowering them to pursue their dreams.
Speaking when Butterfly entertainment made a donation at Home of Happiness in Lusaka today, Mrs. Liswaniso stressed the need for specialized care that responds to the unique challenges faced by children with disabilities, noting that such care should be rooted within communities to promote healing, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.
“These children, like all others, deserve to be celebrated with light, laughter, and limitless potential, something stakeholders must recognize and actively invest in,” Ms. Liswaniso said.
She further encouraged government bodies, NGOs, the private sector, and the public to work together in creating a society where every child, regardless of ability, is given the opportunity to flourish.
