Government Deputy Chief Whip, Likando Mufalali, says government remains committed to improving the purchasing power of Zambians through job creation, as it works towards fulfilling the campaign promises made in 2021.
Mr. Mufalali said that the United Party for National Development (UPND) administration has already delivered 90 percent of its campaign promises, citing the implementation of free education and the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) as major milestones.
He said this when he featured on Christian voices’ Chatback program on the topic, “National Matters”.
“The campaign promises on fuel and mealie meal have seen some delays due to global factors that have affected economies worldwide but however, most Zambians have been empowered through improved purchasing power, helping them cope with the rising cost of essential commodities,” said Mr. Mufalali.
He expressed confidence that the policies currently being implemented will address fundamental issues related to fuel and the overall cost of living.
