The Zambia National Marketers Credit Association Zanamaca has urged government to quickly roll out the introduced initiative under the Citizens, Economic Empowerment commission CEEC, that allows for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises SME’s to access loans for solar systems.
Government last week announced that CEEC will introduce a Loan component of solar systems targeted at business such as salons, barbershops and small shops that deal in fresh products.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today , ZANAMACA President Mupila Kameya said that the newly introduced loans will be beneficial to SME’s in markets that have been negatively affected by the loadshedding.
“ZANAMACA however wants the program to be rolled out earliest and fairly,” said Mr. Kameya.
He said the loans for solar systems will ensure SME’s have interrupted business.
