Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts Elvis Nkandu has commended Dr. Rozious Siatwambo for the establishment of a sports complex in Chibombo District of Central Province
Speaking during the launch of the Twalumba Resorts Sports Complex and Futsal Pitches in Chibombo today, Mr. Nkandu said the occasion marks a significant milestone in the advancement of sports, tourism and community development within the country.
Mr. Nkandu said the development provides the local athletes with world-class facilities to enhance their skills and engage in healthy competition.
He said the complex will also serve as a ground for talent identification, inspiring young athletes to strive for greatness and potentially represent the country on the global stage.
Mr. Nkandu said the complex will generate employment opportunities for the local community spanning from construction and maintenance jobs to roles in hospitality, management and event coordination which he said will not only improve the livelihoods of families but also contribute to the economic growth of the region.
He expressed gratitude to Dr. Siatwambo for the leadership and commitment to bringing the project to fruition.
