PRESIDENTIAL DELIVERY UNIT IS NOT WORKING – PF

The opposition Patriotic Front (PF) has called for the enhanced effectiveness of the Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU), expressing concerns that it is not fully delivering on its intended mandate.

The PDU was established in 2024 by President Hakainde Hichilema to fast-track the implementation of high-priority government initiatives aimed at bringing lasting benefits to the Zambian people.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, PF Media Director, Edwin Lifwekelo, acknowledged the initiative’s good intentions but expressed concerns that it has not been inclusive in its operations.

“The ineffectiveness of the PDU suggests that it has primarily served to create jobs and reward UPND supporters,” alleged Mr. Lifwekelo.

He urged government to ensure that all programs and policies are implemented efficiently to maximize the impact of taxpayer funds and benefit all Zambians equally.
