PRESIDENTIAL ADVISORS ARE NOT INTERFERING IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE

State House Chief Communications Specialist, Clayson Hamasaka, has dismissed concerns from some members of the public suggesting that Presidential Advisors are interfering in the operations of the public service.

Mr. Hamasaka clarified that, contrary to these assertions, Presidential Advisors play a pivotal role in engaging both government agencies and private sector stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of national development programmes.

“The role of Presidential Advisors is not ceremonial, it is dynamic and action-oriented and demands active oversight, continuous engagement, and a commitment to translating presidential directives into tangible outcomes,” said Mr. Hamasaka  in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He emphasized that Presidential Advisors serve the President by working behind the scenes and do not directly manage or interfere with the operations of government departments.

“To restrict this engagement is to undermine the advisory function and impede Zambia’s development,” said Mr. Hamasaka.

He further stated that Presidential Advisors are not passive observers, but enablers of transformative change, adding that public institutions should expect more communication from State House on national matters.
