Zambia National Men‘s Network for Gender and Development has commended the Zambia Police Service for launching the Gender Based Violence training manual to equip new police officers with skills on how to deal with gender crimes.
The launched training manual will be used at the police training colleges for all officers joining the service.
Commenting on the development, Zambia National Men‘s Network for Gender and Development National Coordinator, Nelson Banda, said the launch of the manual is a sustainable way of building the knowledge and skills base for new officers joining the police service .
“We pay tribute to the police for launching the manual”, said Mr. Banda in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
He said the launch of the GBV training manual is a good step of escalating the fight against Gender Based Violence in the country.
