The Lusaka City Council (LCC) has announced that it has received a total of 13,918 applications for Skills Training and Secondary School Bursaries for the year 2025, all to be funded under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Of these applications, 13,346 are for Skills Training, while 572 applicants seek Secondary School Bursaries.
LCC Public Relations Manager , Chola Mwamba, says the overwhelming response reflects the demand for educational opportunities and government’s commitment to expanding access learning facilities through CDF.
“In addition to bursary applications, the Council received applications for other CDF-supported programs for the 2025 funding cycle,” said Ms. Mwamba in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
She said that the list of successful candidates will be announced by the end of December and those awarded bursaries will be expected to report to their assigned learning institutions promptly, as their academic programs commence.
