ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM FOR LEARNER LICENSES COMMENDED

The Zambian School of Driving (ZSD) has commended government for launching the online booking system through the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) for learner drivers wishing to obtain provisional driving licenses.

The initiative is meant to address the longstanding congestion issues experienced at local driving test centers.

In a statement to RCV News in Lusaka today, (ZSD) Head- Research and Training, Mubanga Bwalya, said the transition is a significant step forward in modernizing the country’s driving test system, enhancing accessibility, and improving efficiency.

“The online booking initiative is a brilliant response to the congestion and delays that have burdened both applicants and driving schools for years”, said Mr. Bwalya.

Mr. Bwalya also said the initiative is a testimony to RTSA’s dedication to improving public services and adapting to technological advancements.

He has further urged RTSA to put up warning signage around their Silverest Centre to warn all road users within the vicinity, especially motorists, that learner drivers are now being tested there to reduce the risk of preventable incidences.
