NO DEATHS RECORDED IN CURRENT  CHOLERA OUTBREAK

Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo has disclosed that Eastern Province has recorded 35 confirmed cases of cholera since May, 29, 2024.

Ms. Masebo says this is out of the 85 suspected cases reported in the province.

Speaking when she delivered a ministerial statement in the National Assembly today, Ms. Masebo said that the districts  affected include Chipata, Lumezi, Chipangali and Mambwe.

“Fortunately, only one patient is currently admitted and no death has been recorded so far,” said Ms. Masebo.

She said that the ministry will continue with public sensitization programs in the affected districts.
