The New Zealand Government, through the Manaaki New Zealand Short Term Training Scholarships, is offering Zambian engineers and managers an opportunity to participate in a 4-week Geothermal Energy Project Management course in Auckland, New Zealand, from February 10 to March 11, 2025.
New Zealand High Commission, Development Programme Administrator in Pretoria, South Africa, Malebo Masemene stated that the course, tailored for professionals in geothermal energy, will combine classroom learning with practical fieldwork, including a field trip showcasing geothermal technology in action.
Participants will cover key topics such as geothermal energy fundamentals, resource development, project management, and business case exercises, equipping them with the skills to effectively manage energy projects and make informed decisions.
Zambian professionals with at least five years of relevant experience, basic computer literacy, and employer endorsement are encouraged to apply
And Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia and New Zealand, Elias Munshya urged Zambians to apply, emphasizing that the knowledge gained could help address Zambia’s energy challenges.
“The programme will enhance decision-making, project management, and risk management skills,” said Dr. Munshya.
