NAPSA PAYS OUT K10.1 BILLION IN PARTIAL WITHDRAWALS

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has disbursed a total of K10.1 billion to 487,389 eligible members under its partial withdrawal initiative, since its inception in 2023.

NAPSA Head Corporate Affairs, Cephas Sinyangwe, says the payout comprises K6 billion in members’ original contributions, while K4.1 billion, representing 41% of the total, accounts for indexation and interest earned.

Mr. Sinyangwe revealed that among the beneficiaries, 76,980 are women who have collectively received K1.7 billion, while 104,293 are youths, receiving a combined K1.2 billion.

“This reaffirms the authority’s strong financial standing and the fund remains both liquid and sustainable across all benefit types,” said Mr. Sinyangwe in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He added that many recipients have invested their withdrawals into ventures such as housing, poultry farming, trade, government bonds, and treasury bills, contributing significantly to economic growth and job creation.
