Operation Young Vote (OYV) says failure to reveal the names of Cabinet Ministers being investigated against corruption, is unfortunate and a slap in the face of the agenda to end corruption.
Vice President, Mutale Nalumango, recently said in parliament that there was nothing wrong with the Anti- Corruption Commission not revealing names of Cabinet Ministers under investigation.
But speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, OYV Executive Director, Guess Nyirenda, said the fight against corruption should never be in secrecy.
“Those perceived corrupt, when named, they become ashamed and be accountable,” said Mr. Nyirenda.
He said those shield from the public will never be accountable.
Mr. Nyirenda said this whole failure to name the Cabinet Ministers being investigated looks bad on the president.
