MTANDA WARD COUNCILLOR HAILS PROGRESS ON NANGONGWE MARKET SHELTER

Mtanda Ward Councillor in Kafue District, Michael Sinkala, says construction of the Nangongwe market shelter is currently underway.

Mr. Sinkala stated that the construction of the new market shelter was funded last year in 2024 and is being implemented under a capital project at a cost of K2, 200,00.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr Sinkala said that the initial market shelter was destroyed two years ago by heavy rains and was featured in the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) report.

“The project is nearing completion, with approximately 80% of the work already done,” said Mr. Sinkala.
