MQHZ CALLS FOR MULTI SECTORAL APPROACH ON CHOLERA

The Medical Quality Healthcare Zambia, MQHZ, has expressed concern about the recent outbreak of cholera in Eastern Province.

MQHZ Director General Quince Mwabu has since urged the Ministry of Health to take immediate measures to prevent the spread of cholera to other districts.

“Cholera is a preventable disease, and should be fought collectively,” said Dr. Mwabu in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

Dr. Mwabu has also called on stakeholders, including healthcare providers, local authorities, and individuals to improve access to clean water and sanitation.
