MKUSHI MOTORISTS ENDANGERED THROUGH METAL PINS ON THE ROAD

Zambia Police Public Relations Officer, Rea Hamoonga, says there are reports of individuals who have implanted metal pins on the Great North highway at Nkolonga area near Chengelo School Junction of Mkushi, posing a severe danger to motorists.

“We strongly condemn this reckless and criminal act, which endangers the lives of innocent road users,” reads a statement issued by Mr. Hamoonga to RCV News in Lusaka today.

Mr. Hamoonga warned that the Zambia Police Service will not tolerate actions that threaten the safety and security of the public.

“We will take decisive action against anyone found to be involved in this dangerous behavior,” warned Mr. Hamoonga.

He said Police Officers have intensified patrols in the affected area, and  are closely monitoring all activities along the highway.

“We are also working with members of the community to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. We urge the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station,” said Mr. Hamoonga.
