Milenge Town Council has completed a Constituency Development Fund (CDF) 2025 sensitization program which was aimed at empowering communities across all 15 wards in the district.
The initiative was aimed at empowering communities to effectively participate in the utilization of CDF for sustainable development.
Council Public Relations Officer, John Sakala, told RCV News in a statement today that the sensitization activity focused on three components of the enhanced constituency development, including community projects, secondary boarding schools and skills development bursaries and youth, women and community empowerment grants and loans.
“The primary objective of the sensitization activity was to engage with community members and Ward Development Committee members in all 15 wards, providing crucial information on how the CDF can be a transformative tool for development within the district”, said Mr. Sakala.
Mr. Sakala said the initiative is expected to pave way for sustainable development and improved livelihoods throughout Milenge District.
