The Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD) says the country will express extreme hot weather conditions between September and mid November 2024.
ZMD Senior Meteorologist, Peggy Thole, said this when she featured on Christian voices’ Chatback program on the topic, “2024 – 2025 rain forecast”.
Ms. Thole said that the weather estimates show that some areas of the country will express hot conditions exceeding 40 C before the commencement of the rain season in mid November.
“Zambians are therefore advised to prepare for the hot conditions before temperatures start colling in November,” said Ms. Thole.
And Ms. Thole has announced that Sinazongwe, Chirundu and Gweembe districts will experience longer hot conditions before rains commence in the said areas, in December.
