Lusaka Based Lawyer, Celestine Mukandila, has called for a complete overhaul of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) management, after its board was dissolved by the president yesterday.
Mr. Mukandila said this when he featured on Christian Voices’s Chat back program on the topic, “ Is the fight against corruption being won”.
He said that the dissolution of the board is not enough, saying that sweeping changes must be made at the commission if the country is to effectively fight corruption.
“The revelations made by (ACC) former commissioner O’brien Kabaa must also be investigated and acted upon seriously,” said Mr. Mukandila.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mukandila has called for the resignation of Minister of Health, Sylvia Masebo, after an investigation revealed that medicines intended for the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) was deliberately diverted to a private warehouse in Lusaka.
He said that the incident has the potential to affect the flow of medicines in health facilities, calling for the minister to resign on moral grounds.
