Luena Member of Parliament, Mubita Anakoka, has refuted suggestions that the UPND government is in denial about the country’s economic challenges.
Mr. Anakoka emphasized that the government is fully aware of the economic hardships many Zambians are facing, comparing the situation to an open surgery that requires time to heal.
He made these remarks when he featured on Christian Voice’s Chatback program during a discussion on National Matters.
“Following the debt restructuring, government has been focused on addressing key economic fundamentals to tackle the economic difficulties,” said Mr. Anakoka.
He urged Zambians to be patient with government as it continues to resolve the bottlenecks hindering economic growth.
