LCC SUSPENDS OPERATIONS AT ROYAL PARK

The Lusaka City Council (LCC) has warned and suspended operations at Royal Park Platinum in Chilenje for operating under unsanitary conditions.

A team of officers from the Public Health and Engineering departments conducted an operation, which revealed that the premises was operating with a blocked and collapsed sewer system, leading to the discharge of faecal matter into the open environment, contrary to the Public Health Act Section 67, Cap 295 of the Laws of Zambia.

LCC Public Relations Manager, Chola Mwamba, says the premise has been instructed to rectify the defects with immediate effect, after which they will be allowed to resume operations.

“The team has also warned Eden Queen Bar in Libala South, along Lilayi Road to operate within the confines of the law,” said Ms. Mwamba in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

She said that the directive follows complaints from members of the public, who have stated that the bar plays loud music, resulting in noise nuisance to the residents within the vicinity of its operations.
