LATE DANNY MWALE LAUDED FOR DEDICATED SERVICE

Government has described the late Zambia Police Service Deputy Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale as a dedicated service man who informed the nation diligently.

Mr. Mwale, who died on 30th August 2024 after a short illness, will be buried today.

Speaking during the funeral procession in Lusaka today, Lusaka Province Minister, Sheal Mulyata said Mr. Mwale’s working culture and relationship was something that should be emulated by other service men for the benefit of the country.

Ms. Mulyata also called on the Police Service to always remember and look after the bereaved family, especially the wife and the children.

And representing the Media in Zambia, UNZA Head Media and Communication Studies Department, Brenda Bukowa, said Mr. Mwale was not only Deputy Spokesperson for the Police but a bridge between the media and the Zambia Police.

“Danny Mwale’s understanding of the historical dynamics between the police and the press coupled with his relentless, effortless pursuit to close the information gap made him a shining example of what a PR person must aspire to be,” said Ms. Bukowa.

Dr. Bukowa also highlighted that Mr. Mwale greatly contributed to improving relations between the media, the police and the public.

She has further called for cordial working relationship between the police and media for the benefit of Zambia.
