K4M ALLOCATED FOR DESK PROCUREMENT IN KANYAMA

Government has approved the disbursement of K4,200,000 towards the procurement of 2,800 school desks for Kanyama Constituency.

The funding, secured under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation, will benefit four wards namely, Chinika Ward 11, Munkolo Ward 15, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula Ward 12 and Kanyama Ward 13.

Lusaka City Council (LCC) Assistant Public Relations Manager, Nyambe Bulumba, says from the 2,800 desks to be procured, Chinika Ward 11 has been allocated 1,125 desks, Munkolo Ward 15 will receive 638 desks, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula Ward 12 will get 626 desks and Kanyama Ward 13 will benefit with 411 desks.

“The procurement of the desks will help alleviate the long-standing shortage faced by government schools in the Constituency,” said Mr. Bulumba in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said that LCC remains committed to ensuring that all tender and procurement processes are completed promptly to have the project implemented on time.
