IT’S SAD THE COUNTRY EXPERIENCES FLOODS EVERY YEAR – NAQEZ

The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) has expressed concern over the impact of flooding on schools, which has disrupted learning for many pupils across the country.

NAQEZ Executive Director, Aaron Chansa, stated that floods pose a serious challenge to education, as many learners are unable to attend classes due to flooded roads, ultimately affecting their academic performance.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Dr. Chansa described the recurring floods as disappointing and urged government to implement proper drainage systems to mitigate their effects.

“The government must take concrete action to address this persistent issue and ensure that learners can attend school without disruptions,” said Dr. Chansa.

Dr. Chansa further emphasized that investing in flood-control measures would help prevent the devastating impact of floods on education and communities, creating a safer and more stable learning environment for all.
