IBA COMMENDS RCV FOR WINNING BEST INFRASTRUCTURE AWARD

The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has commended Radio Christian Voice (RCV) for winning the Best Infrastructure Award at the 2024 IBA Awards.

Speaking during a visit to RCV to officially present the award, IBA Acting Director General,  Susen Ndumingu, praised the station, stating that the recognition was well deserved given the high-quality infrastructure in which the company operates.

“IBA appreciates RCV for maintaining such a high standard of infrastructure and this is the kind of environment it expects from all broadcasting stations,” said Ms. Ndumingu.

She further urged all broadcasting stations that have not yet paid their 2025 annual operating fees to do so before the March 31, 2025 deadline.

Meanwhile, RCV Country Manager, Wongel Banda, highlighted the station’s efforts to stay relevant in the evolving media landscape, particularly during the COVID-19 era and the rise of social media.

“To adapt to the digital age, three studios were upgraded into podcasting spaces, ensuring that the radio station remains competitive while embracing new technology,” said Mrs. Banda.

She emphasized that while digitalization has been a success for RCV, the station remains committed to ensuring that digital platforms complement each other.

“Digitalization has expanded our reach, making our programs more accessible to the public,” she added.
