Minister of Green Economy and Environment, Mike Mposha, says the country will continue to experience high temperatures ranging from 33°C to 43°C, till December 12th , 2024.
Mr. Mposha says during this period, the country will generally see the reduction of rains across the country.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Mposha said that the country however anticipates improved rainfall activities in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces around 7 December 2024.
“During this period, Zambians are encouraged to stay hydrated and protect themselves from the extreme heat,” said Mr. Mposha.
He said that government through the metrological department will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates through daily weather forecasts and 10-day agrometeorological bulletins.
