HH URGES INCREASED INVESTMENT TO DRIVE NATIONWIDE DEVELOPMENT

President Hakainde Hichilema has called for more investment to foster development in all parts of the country.

The President has emphasized that spreading investment throughout the nation would allow young people to stay in their communities while gaining opportunities and empowerment locally.

Mr. Hichilema was speaking during the commissioning of the Power Diligent Veracious (PDV) Metals Limited Steel Plant at Lusaka South Multi Facility Economic Zone today.

He highlighted the importance of adhering to three key principles in the execution of government projects including ensuring the right price or costs, quality and timely delivery.

“Let’s spend much time on delivering,” said Mr. Hichilema.

Mr. Hichilema said this will encourage more investors to invest in the country.

He has further congratulated all stakeholders involved in the facility, including suppliers, workers, and other contributors and urged them to put in their best.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hichilema has called on Ministers to take up government project that is within their mandate so that the President can focus on other things that will complement the works.
