HH URGED TO TACKLE PRESSING ISSUES DURING ADDRESS

As President Hakainde Hichilema addresses the nation tomorrow Friday, 13th September 2024, the Acton Institute for Policy Analysis Centre (AIPAC), says it expects a comprehensive outline of his administration’s plan to tackle Zambia’s pressing challenges.

“President Hakainde is expected to present a clear strategy to address the persistent load shedding, which has severely impacted businesses, households, and the overall economy,” AIPAC Executive Director Solomon Ngoma has said.

He told RCV News in a statement that the organization is also concerned about the growing number of young people struggling with drug addiction.

“AIPAC expects the President to announce initiatives to strengthen rehabilitation programs, enhance enforcement, and promote community engagement,” said Mr. Ngoma.

Mr. Ngoma said he expects the President to outline a robust strategy to enhance transparency, accountability, and the rule of law stating that the fight against corruption has lost momentum.
