President Hakainde Hichilema has appealed to traditional leaders in North Western Province to end the Lunda- Luvale conflict.
The President said this when he met traditional leaders before the Likumbi Lya Mize Traditional Ceremony in Zambezi District.
The head of state said that traditional leaders should encourage their subjects to coexist, saying that the continued Lunda- Luvale conflict has the potential to set unrest in the country.
“The traditional leaders should encourage their people to live together and respect the different cultures among them”, said Mr. Hichilema.
He said that no meaningful development can take place without the presence of peace and unity.
