President Hakainde Hichilema says he wants to see the strengthened relations between Zambia and Japan result into continuous development activities for economic growth.
President Hichilema said this at State House today when the President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Tanaka Akihiko paid a courtesy call on him.
President Hichilema commended Japan for the several development initiatives it supported since the country gained independence in 1964.
“Issues of growing the economy to create jobs can only come from increased investment”, said Mr. Hichilema
Mr. Hichilema said Zambia is looking for continued investments into the domestic market.
And the President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Tanaka Akihiko said his organization aims to attract investment by enabling the private sector to tap into investment opportunities.
And speaking during the same event, Health Minister Sylvia Masebo applauded JICA and Japan for the continuous help rendered to Zambia in the health sector particularly through the Zambia National Public Health Institute ZNPHI.
