HEAVY MAKE UP IS CANCEROUS – ZAMRA

The Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) has warned members of the public against the use of cheap  Make up.

ZAMRA Registration Officer Allied Substances, Victor Mpundu, says some cheap make up being sold on the streets contain heavy metals such as lead which is detrimental to health.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr, Mpundu has also discouraged citizens on the over use of general make up that he says causes cancerous diseases.

“Citizens must be weary on the make they apply and the over use of it may lead to skin complications,” said Mr. Mpundu.

Mr. Mpundu called on Zambians to prioritize their health and only purchase cosmetics from reputable vendors whose products are approved by ZAMRA.
