GPZ CALLS FOR UNITY AS ZAMBIA TURNS 60

Opposition Golden Party of Zambia (GPZ) has urged Zambians to embrace national unity, unity of purpose, innovation and collaboration to tackle economic, social, and environmental challenges, even as the country celebrates 60 years of Independence tomorrow.

Zambia will tomorrow be turning 60 years of independence with celebrations being held under the theme “60 Years Strong: Honoring Our Heritage, Embracing Our Future.”

GPZ President, Jackson Silavwe, says there is need for the country to renew the commitment to a stronger, prosperous Zambia.

“Together, we honor our past while boldly stepping into the future,” said Mr. Silavwe in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said Zambia’s heritage inspires citizens to uphold unity, peace, and resilience.

“Let us recognize the contributions of every Zambian in shaping our country,” said Mr. Silavwe.

He also said  GPZ is committed to creating sustainable opportunities for all Zambians for the benefit of all citizens regardless of tribe or gender.
