GOV’T URGED TO PRIORITIZE LOCAL SOLUTIONS

The Opposition Leadership Movement has called on government to realign its policies by focusing on domestic trade, and prioritize locally developed solutions to address challenges faced by Zambians.

Party Secretary General, Jairos Ngoma, emphasized that the recent decision by the U.S. government to place most of its supporting partners’ workforce on leave serves as a wake-up call for Zambia.

He stressed the need for the country to develop self-reliant strategies to mitigate external dependencies.

Mr. Ngoma said this in Lusaka today when he featured on Christian Voice’s Chatback program on the topic, “National Matters”.

“The Nation should start exploring local solutions in key sectors such as trade, health, and mining,” said Mr. Ngoma.

He further highlighted that Zambia has the potential to achieve self-sufficiency if its natural resources are properly harnessed.
