GOVT URGED TO INVEST IN THERMAL ENERGY

Social Economist, Kelvin Chisanga, has stressed the need for Zambia to upscale efforts of setting up thermal plant stations to generate power near Tanzania and Mozambique borders.

His comments come as the Nation continues to grapple with power rationing countrywide.

Mr. Chisanga said that the  two countries have potential capacities with natural gas which Zambia can harvest through thermal power plants.

“The same can be done between Angola and Namibia where Zambia can harvest power through gas,” said Mr. Chisanga in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said that the current economic situation should enable the country be innovative and seek for Permanent solutions in the energy sector.
