GOVT URGED TO INCORPORATE INDIGENOUS ZAMBIANS IN MINING

Chilubi Member of Parliament, Mulenga Fube, has called on government to formulate a strategy, that will incorporate indigenous Zambians that discover mineral deposits, to participate in the mining activities of the country.

Mr. Fube said this when he featured on Christian Voices’ chatback program on the topic, “National Matters”.

He said indigenous Zambians that discover mineral deposits feel left out when government engages  foreign investors to mine the minerals.

“Indigenous Zambians that discover minerals also want to benefit and make a living from the mining activities” said Mr. Fube.

He said sanity will be restored among small scale miners if indigenous Zambians are given licenses to participate in mining activities across the country.
