GOV’T URGED TO EXPEDITE OIL EXPLORATION TO REDUCE FUEL COSTS

Opposition Democratic Union President, Ackim Njobvu, has expressed concern with governments reluctancy to explore oil across the country.

Mr. Njobvu has expressed disappointment over the lack of progress in implementing past government pronouncements on oil exploration.

He said this in Lusaka today when he featured on Christian Voices’ Chatback program on the topic, “ National Affairs”.

“The country has untapped potential when it comes to oil resources and this could be one way the country sources for cheaper  fuel,” said Mr. Njobvu.

Mr. Njobvu criticized government for what he described as a lack of political will and strategic planning in pursuing oil exploration projects.
